Morimoto Asia is one of the newer restaurants in Disney Springs, and it has quickly become one of my new favorite restaurants. Located in The Landing, it’s the latest restaurant of Iron Chef Morimoto and brings a taste of his Asian flavors to Disney World.
First of all, let me say that the decor inside the restaurant is stunning! There was definitely a lot of thought and detail put into the design. Morimoto Asia is a two-story, impressive looking restaurant that features several dining areas, lounges, an open kitchen, and a sushi bar/lounge known as the “Forbidden Lounge.” There is also a quick service option attached to the restaurant called Morimoto Street Foods.
My favorite aspect of the decor by far were the lights hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant feels very open, with the lower level dining space having a full view of the upper level. The open kitchen gives a good view of the busy kitchen at work, and there is always a rack of roasted ducks on display.
Now, for the food. The menu at Morimoto Asia is large, in every regard. There are numerous options with something for just about anyone. The starters, such as rock shrimp tempura and the signature tuna pizza, are each around $15. Dim Sum is a little bit cheaper at $8, with options including different dumplings and egg rolls. One of my favorites on the menu were the sushi rolls, which cost around $10. You’ll find basic rolls, such as spicy salmon, tuna, and California rolls.

The main entrees are conveniently separated in different sections: noodles + rice, meat + poultry, fish, and vegetables. These dishes range anywhere from $10 to $60, such as Orange Chicken, Peking Duck, Mongolian Filet Mignon, Tonkotsu Ramen, and so much more.

For appetizers, we tried the pork dumplings, spicy tuna roll, and the spicy salmon roll. The dumplings were delicious, but the sushi was amazing. For our main dishes, I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and my husband ordered the Mongolian Filet Mignon. I love just about any ramen dish, and my husband said his steak was probably the best steak he’s ever had.

I would definitely recommend Morimoto Asia to anyone going to Disney World and/or Disney Springs. We’ll be eating here again for sure during our next trip! Although, next time I think we’ll eat there more than one night.
