When visiting the Bavarian capital of Munich, you probably want to stay somewhere central. You can’t get a more central location in Munich’s old city center than right at Marienplatz and that’s just where you will find the stylish and modern hotel BEYOND by Geisel. While there are plenty of great hotels in Munich, it’s hard to beat this five-star hotel. While it boasts plenty of luxury, the hotel has a more relaxed, comfortable feel that makes you feel at home.

Check In
When you enter the lobby of BEYOND by Geisel, it’s almost the feeling of entering a living room. (Well, a fancier one than probably your typical home.) The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere with a unique library in the center that showcases books from floor to ceiling, as well as one-of-a-kind decor and video art. Surrounding the library is the open kitchen and a spacious seating area where guests can relax with a drink. And speaking of drinks, when checking in, guests are also offered a complimentary welcome drink.
The only negative aspect of checking in for me personally was trying to get to the lobby. You need to have a room key to unlock the door to the building or use the buzzer to have someone let you in. (The hotel lobby is located on the 5th floor of the building. The only issue I ran into was that the intercom was really low and I couldn’t ever hear what the person was saying. That being said, when I called the hotel to let them know about the problem the staff were very friendly and helpful. Someone came downstairs and let us in about a minute later.
Spacious and Stylish Rooms

When walking around the hotel, you may not actually notice the rooms at first glance since the doors are almost seamlessly integrated into the wall. Each of the nineteen guest rooms at BEYOND by Geisel offer a comfortable place to relax in the middle of Munich’s busy city center. The rooms themselves offer king-size beds, state-of-the-art technology, a desk with plenty of room to work, a large television, sitting area, complimentary water, bathroom amenities, and great views.

We started and ended our trip to Germany in Munich. We had a different room for our second stay at BEYOND by Geisel, which featured a different bathroom set up. Instead of a shower with a door, we had a huge open shower area.

24/7 Culinary Package

One of the unique highlights of BEYOND by Geisel is its 24/7 Culinary Package.
